A series on various historic and prominent<\/em><\/em> figures and how would they see the world if they were photographers<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How would he tell stories from behind a lens? Author, film director and the inventor of the “techno-thriller” genre would surely put a mystery mood in the focal point if we would assume that he would pursue a similar approach in photography as in his novels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

He would perhaps also include a significant element that would enhance the mystery in the image. In other words, he would not depend only on the mood of the image to create a mystery but would add a tangible mystery object in the frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this experimental example, the “mystery object” are the footprints leading the eye towards the end of the road. To make the footprints obvious and pronounced and perhaps even the environment more mysterious, a snowy surroundings might be a bonus element.
In addition, the dark branches of trees against the snow only add a high visual contrast that matches those of the footprints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another example would be a mysterious vintage train coach in the middle of a forest. This the image, unlike the first image above, doesn’t have multiple secondary objects to enhance the mystery of the photograph. The train coach in an unexpected place or surroundings creates a mysterious and surrealist feel with unexpected juxtapositions and may work by itself without additional enhancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always it is a fun experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
