A series on various historic and prominent figures and how would they see the world if they were photographers.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can one imagine Morgan freeman as a wildlife bird photographer? and not any bird for that matter, but an avid owl photographer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

What would attract him to these magnificent birds? It would most probably be their nature as being mostly solitary and nocturnal birds, their almost silent flight, hunting ability and of course their eyes. The piercing gaze that hypnotises in an instance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many fascinating things about owls, but one feature is very unusual, it is their ability to rotate their heads and necks as much as 270\u00b0 without moving their torso. In addition their silent swoop through the air gives them an advantage over their prey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing that Morgan Freeman has acquired over the years, as an iconic actor, director and narrator, among many other things is the ability to exercise patience and anticipate a behaviour. Attributes that are crucial to successful bird and wildlife photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps he would not use a anything beyond 400-600mm telephoto lens, but would try to move closer to the bird without disturbing it. This would require skill and patience. A 400mm lens would perhaps be his choice of glass as it would have a wide enough aperture for dimly light forests and photography in low light conditions. At times he might even go with a 200mm at f\/2 or similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
